The Invitation
This painting was painted from life in the Seattle Arboretum. I was struck by the pattern of light as it danced up and down the stairs. The design is sensitive I love the subtle curve up the hill. The care taken in its construction reminds me that there is utility and beauty and the best things have both. This painting is an invitation.
