During this 5 day workshop we will work from a combination of paintings, photos and a model on a variety of short and long poses. Each member will receive individual critique and instruction each session. Since simplicity is one of the goals we will be using a limited palette. We will focus on the 4 main aspects of portrait and figure painting: Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. Working from life with a systematic process over 5 consecutive days deepens our understanding, sharpens our senses and is bound to take our skills up a notch. Moreover it gives you the confidence and skills to practice wherever you go.
