Theme for the month | Chiaroscuro. This month we will learn how to paint light and dark against each other to create tension, drama and intensity. We will have two 2 week poses. In the first we copy the master of chiaroscuro Caravaggio. Then we paint a portrait based on Caravaggios style.
Dominique demonstrates the painting process and breaks it down into clear steps. We use a limited palette to help us understand color theory and relationships. Each week students receive critiques.
