Theme for the month: Edges

In our classes we often don’t have much time to dedicate to the last and most subtle of steps in the painting process, namely Edges. where any 2 colors, values or form meets there is an edge, and these edges do very important and often overlooked work in out paintings. This month we explore the relationship between value and edge. Using a combination of simple forms and/or Bargue drawings we will explore and use 3 edge types, hard soft and lost, to learn how to turn form and create the illusion of depth.
